Franck BOURRAT (CR1 - INSERM) Former student at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de la rue d’Ulm, the first part of his scientific career was devoted to studies on the development of the rat precerebellar system (proliferation and migration of inferior olivary neurons, and other hindbrain precerebellar neurons). He then founded, with Daniel Chourrout, a research team on the INRA campus of Jouy-en-Josas, and worked on mechanisms controlling cell proliferation in the developing medaka CNS. He is co-group leader, with Jean-Stéphane Joly, of the MSNC team since 2000, and his currents interests focus on the regulation of cell cycle exit mechanisms in the developing brain. 01 69 82 34 31 bourrat |

Françoise JAMEN (MC – Paris XI) Former student at the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Lyon, her PhD was on the study of PACAP, a type I neuropeptide receptor, in the mouse. She analysed, in particular, the phenotype of PAC1 knockout mice. During a post-doctoral work at the University College, London, in the team of William Richardson, she studied the oligodendrocyte progenitors in the mouse brain, and generated PDGFRa-Cre transgenic mice, in order to perform lineage analyses. She is assistant professor at Paris XI-Orsay University, and participates to teaching programs in zoology and developmental biology. Her present research interests are the characterization and analysis of genes specifically expressed in medaka neural stem cells. 01 69 82 34 31 jamen |

Jean-Stéphane JOLY (DR2 INRA) is an engineer in agronomy, graduated from Institut National Agronomique de Paris Grignon. His PhD thesis, performed in the Pasteur Institute in François Jacob’s team, was on zebrafish gastrulation. He then moved to the INRA campus of Jouy-en-Josas and worked on medaka CNS development, and is now since 200, co-group leader, with Franck Bourrat, of the MSNC team. He has been coordinator of three european projects, has initiated the AMAGEN platform, and is responsible for the EFOR network (http://www.efor.fr) on laboratory model species. 01 69 82 34 31 joly |
